Easy Honey Sesame Chicken Recipes

 This homemade version of crispy sesame chicken is just as delicious as the takeout from your favorite Chinese restaurant! For a dinner the whole family will love, fried chicken is topped in a sweet and spicy sesame sauce.

Ingredients:

For the Sauce:

  1. 1/2 cup soy sauce
  2. 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  3. 1/3 cup ketchup
  4. 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  5. 1/4 cup honey
  6. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  7. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  8. 2 tablespoons sesame oil

For the Chicken:

  1. 2 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed and cut into chunks
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 1/3 cup cornstarch
  4. 1 cup all purpose flour
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  6. 1 teaspoon black pepper
  7. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  9. Vegetable oil to fry


Instructions:

Step:No:01

To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients (soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, chili sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil) in a medium-sized bowl. Put aside.

Regarding the Chicken: Gently pat it dry and place it aside.

Whisk the eggs in a medium-sized bowl.

Mix the cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder in a big bowl.

Pour oil into a big skillet, filling it to about 1/2 inch deep. Melt the oil over medium heat to 350°F.

Working in batches, thoroughly coat each chicken by dipping it in the egg and then dredging it in the flour mixture.

Cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes, or until it is nicely browned on all sides, in the oil. Transfer to a plate covered with paper towels to drain.

After all of the chicken has been fried, remove the skillet's fat. Restart the stove to medium heat, then pour the prepared sauce into the skillet. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat after cooking until the sauce just begins to boil.
