Best Skillet Tortilla Pizza Recipes

 Easy individual pizzas baked in a cast-iron skillet on top of the stove.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 flour tortilla (about 8-inches diameter)
  2. Grated mozzarella cheese
  3. Tomato sauce
  4. Fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced


Instructions:

Step:No:01

Turn the heat up to medium-high or high in the skillet. 

Step:No:02

The flour tortilla should be heated until puffed.
Line the center of the heated skillet with a flour tortilla.

Flip the tortilla and reduce the heat to medium low as soon as it starts to puff up or create air bubbles. To slightly deflate the air bubbles, pierce them with the tip of a knife or the tines of a fork.

Step:No:03

Add the toppings: Gently sprinkle a thin layer of grated mozzarella cheese over the tortilla's top. After the cheese has melted slightly, use the back of a spoon to spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the cheese. A bit additional cheese should be sprinkled on top of the tomato sauce.

Step:No:04

Take the pan off the heat as soon as the edges of the tortilla begin to brown, which indicates that the bottom of the tortilla is beginning to get nice and brown. Cover the pan to melt the cheese.
For approximately one minute, place a cover over the top of the pan to allow the leftover heat from the pan to melt the cheese. 

Step:No:05

Top with freshly cut basil slices. Transfer to a platter and chop using a sharp knife or pizza wheel.
Serve right away.
