Ground beef, tomatoes, chiles, sour cream, and much more are used to make this scrumptious Doritos Casserole! This recipe for taco casserole is simple and delicious.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup diced yellow onion, about 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 package low- sodium taco seasoning
- 1 (10- ounce) can Ro-tel tomatoes and chiles
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 (9.75- ounce) bag Doritos, very coarsely crushed
- Optional garnish – diced tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeños, avocado
Instructions:

Set oven temperature to 350°F.

Heat the oil in a big skillet over medium heat. After adding, sauté the onions for five minutes. Break apart the meat clumps with a wooden spoon while you cook the ground beef and garlic together until the meat is no longer pink.Step:No:03
Stir in salsa, Ro-tel, and taco spice. Cook, stirring periodically, for 5 minutes.Step:No:04
After giving the sour cream an even stir, take the mixture off the stove.

Split the meat mixture in half and place it in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Place half of the Doritos and a half cup of cheese on top.
Proceed with the remaining ingredients and finish by adding the remaining half-cup of cheese on top.

Bake the pan for 20 minutes with the foil covering it.

Take off the foil and continue baking for ten minutes.
